Therapy for When Your Mind Won’t Slow Down

Virtual anxiety therapy in Kentucky for people who feel stuck in their thoughts and carry that stress in their body.

Individual Therapy Services

My work focuses on helping adults navigate anxiety, overthinking, and the ways stress shows up both mentally and physically.

Chronic Illness & Living in a Painful Body

I work with adults living with chronic health conditions like hEDS/EDS, MCAS, Endometriosis, digestive issues, or ongoing pain.

When your body feels unpredictable, painful, or hard to trust, it can affect everything - your stress levels, your ability to relax and feel joyful, and how you move through daily life. There’s a lot of energy spent managing, anticipating, and trying to stay ahead of symptoms and navigating the healthcare system. Sometimes it can even start to feel like your identity.

Anxiety & Overthinking

Your mind might not really slow down - replaying conversations, second-guessing yourself, or getting stuck in worst-case scenarios. Even when you understand what’s happening, it can still feel hard to stop. And it often affects your mood, your body, your work, and your relationships. This therapy is for those who have tried analyzing themselves, coping skills, journaling, meditation, and are still struggling.

Painful or Confusing Childhood Experiences

I work with adults who grew up in environments that were emotionally painful, confusing, or where they didn’t feel fully seen or supported.

Even now, that can show up in how you relate to yourself - being hard on yourself, overthinking, or feeling unsure of who you are or what you need. Then there’s the guilt. You may understand where it comes from, but still feel stuck and confused. And you may be struggling with how to navigate current relationship dynamics while staying true to yourself.

Therapy Approach

🌿 Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Level 1 Trained

A compassionate approach that helps you understand and work with the different “parts” of you, like the inner critic, the overachiever, the anxious planner, or the part that shuts down when things get too hard.

IFS sees these parts as having a reason for being there. They developed to help you in some way, even if they now feel overwhelming, exhausting, or confusing.

Instead of trying to get rid of these parts, we get curious about them. As you start to understand what they need and why they show up, things can begin to shift in a more natural way.

This work is less about managing symptoms and more about changing your relationship with yourself. Over time, you may notice more calm, more steadiness, and a stronger sense of trust in yourself.

🌿 Somatic (Body-Based) Therapy and Mindfulness

You’ll learn to notice thoughts, emotions, and body cues without immediately trying to fix, control, or push them away. We treat these as information rather than problems. For people who spend a lot of time in their heads, this is often a different and much-needed way of approaching things.

We also pay attention to your body and nervous system, especially if you are living with pain, sensitivity, or chronic illness. Your body holds a lot of what you have been through, and it often tells us things your thoughts cannot.

This work helps you slow down, listen inwardly, and respond with more care, even in moments of stress or uncertainty.

Over time, you may find you are less caught in overthinking and more able to be present in your life, with a greater sense of ease and self-trust.

The Details

What can you expect from therapy with me?

Sessions are virtual and tailored to your pace. Some weeks, we may talk through a current stressor. Other times, we might pause and explore what’s happening inside, whether it’s a part of you that feels disruptive or a thought spiral you feel stuck in.

My role is to offer a calm, steady presence as your healing process unfolds. You’re always in control of what we focus on and how we approach it. I also value open communication. If something doesn’t feel quite right, we can talk about it and adjust. You deserve care that truly fits you.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions are $135. While I don’t accept insurance, therapy is often eligible for reimbursement through HSA or FSA accounts. I can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) if needed.

Is virtual therapy effective—and how does it work?

Yes—virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person for many people. It allows you to show up from the comfort of your home, your car during a break, or anywhere you feel safe and private.

I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You’ll receive access to link that stay s the same for each appoinment. Just click the link at our scheduled time and we’ll connect by video. You can even access it from your phone.

Most of my clients appreciate the flexibility and ease of telehealth, especially when life is busy or you’re craving support without the extra logistics.
