You’re not too much. You’re just exhausted from managing it all alone.
I help thoughtful people heal the root of anxiety—quiet the mental noise, ease the tension in their bodies, and finally feel like themselves again.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You’re thoughtful, responsible, and self-aware — but beneath the surface, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, and quietly burned out, caught in patterns of perfectionism.
You’re constantly in your head, overthinking everything. It’s hard to relax, make decisions, or just be without managing a million thoughts.
Your body feels tense, your sleep might be off, and even when things are “fine,” you can’t shake the sense that something’s not quite right.
You find yourself turning to food, TV, or scrolling—even when you’re not sure it helps.
You feel persistently tired, disconnected, or like you’re going through the motions. Even things you used to enjoy might feel flat.
You want to start doing things that matter—like travel, enjoy downtime, be social, attend necessary appointments, or set boundaries without guilt.
Maybe you’ve tried coping tools or even past therapy, but the anxiety still lingers—and you’re ready for something deeper.
If any of this resonates, we can work together to help you move beyond coping and begin healing the deeper patterns that keep you stuck—so you can feel calm, steady, and like yourself again.
My Approach: Go Deeper Than Just Coping
My intention is to create a space where you don’t have to perform or fix yourself—where you can simply show up, slow down, and finally feel heard.
Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in respect. You’re always in charge of the pace, and I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity, a deep belief in your capacity to heal—and just enough humor to remind you that healing doesn’t have to feel like hard work every single time. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach that honors the connection between your body, mind, and emotions.
I often integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic practices, and existential or cognitive-based strategies depending on what supports you. But at the heart of all of it is this: helping you reconnect with the part of you that is steady, wise, and whole.
What Our Work Might Look Like:
Understanding what’s beneath your anxiety—so you’re not just managing symptoms but healing old patterns at the root
Learning to regulate emotions without shutting them down or getting overwhelmed
Releasing thought loops like worst-case-scenario planning or constant self-doubt
Reclaiming your authentic self—the part of you that already knows what you need
The work I do goes beyond surface-level coping. I offer emotionally attuned, insight-oriented therapy that helps you understand not just what you’re feeling—but why. This approach creates space for deeper healing, the kind that leads to real, lasting change. If you’re seeking thoughtful, personalized care from someone who takes time to truly understand you, I may be a good fit.
Therapy should feel like an exhale. Like returning to yourself after years of holding everything together. You don’t have to do it alone.
Meet Angie
I’m Angie Starling, LPCA, NCC, and I help adults who feel stuck in quiet ways—people who are insightful, responsible, and often appear fine on the outside, but inside feel anxious, disconnected, or deeply tired.
My clients are often navigating the long-term impact of growing up in emotionally distant or unpredictable environments. Now, even with self-awareness, you might still find yourself overthinking everything, feeling physically tense, or wondering why you’re never quite at ease.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years teaching yoga and meditation, guiding wellness retreats, and holding space for personal transformation through earth-based and somatic practices. That work taught me how healing happens—not through fixing yourself, but through gently returning to your authentic self.
My own experience with anxiety and panic was what first brought me to therapy. The insight and relief I found weren’t just coping skills—they were life-changing. Now, I help others access that same kind of deep, lasting healing.
Together, we’ll create a space that feels safe, grounded, and emotionally honest—so you can stop managing your emotions and start trusting yourself again.

Healing begins the moment you stop managing and start listening—to your body, to your emotions, to the parts of you that have been quietly asking for care.
You’ve already taken a brave first step just by being here.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or quietly disconnected from yourself, I want you to know: it doesn’t have to stay this way.
